GotZapp

GotZapp works in a similar way to Mogopop, the iPod downloads site: it lets users create mini-websites with the “Ziranda” mobile content creator. These “Zapps”, which consist of images, animations, text and music, can then be rated, commented on and downloaded by other users. Yup, it’s a YouTube for mobile content.

Zannel is a new mobile media sharing site that launched on Wednesday. It’s funded to the tune of $6 million and wants to help you share videos and photos on your phone and the web. I like it a lot, but I’m just wondering whether these startups are a little early to enter the US mobile market, which doesn’t seem to have taken flight just yet
