Chegg.com is terrible. Their customer service is the most unreliable in the history of businesses. Emails are not replied to and customer service reps are nonexistant over the phone. The wrongs books are always delivered and since they have affiliate companies that send you the books, its just one more shitstorm to go through to obtain your books. Their version of express shipping is anything but express. Feel free to contact me about my experience with the worst company to hit the market.

It’s also been three weeks since I ordered my book for biology and received nothing, nada, zippo. I opened a support ticket yesterday and they’re supposed to respond within 48 hours. If I don’t hear anything by Friday, I’m going to dispute the charge with my bank. Strangely enough, most of the texts on their site are now listed as “Due to high demand, this book is temporarily out of stock.” Perhaps chegg got too big for their own good, took their cash and jumped ship? Stay far, far away from these folks!

I haven’t seen a lot of recent reviews for Chegg most of them are outdated by a few semesters.
I myself used the site this past spring semester, and now I am using it over the summer. Each time my books came very quickly (and the website has a link to the UPS tracking). Unfortunately I can’t speak for their customer service because I have had no need to speak with them about anything.
All I know is that my books have been astonishingly cheap, even when compared to price-checking other used books online for purchase. Maybe this isn’t the case with all of their textbooks, but it was with the books I’ve needed.
I saved a ton of money and had absolutely zero headache. I even only paid for regular shipping (not express) and received my last order within three days.
